As pond elevations rise at Kearl, OCL repeatedly relocates two dredges along with their floating walkways, pipelines, electrical and fiber cables to accommodate the new water levels. Each phase has included design, fabrication and installation of 1km of 36 inch HDPE, 400m of 30 inch carbon steel, dock and mooring design, and mooring analyses. OCL has applied deep knowledge of inland marine systems to optimize engineering deliverables and reduce overall cost across multiple executions of this work.
